Last week at smillaesports was filled with intense racing action and fierce battles. The drivers showcased their skills across various competitions, delivering thrilling duels on virtual race tracks. With upcoming events on the horizon, the excitement is far from over. Here’s a recap of recent highlights and a glimpse into what’s coming up next.

Felix Seesing in the DSRC Sprint Series: Pole Position and a Tough Turnaround

In the final race of the DSRC Sprint Series, part of the German International Championship (DMSB), Felix Seesing made a strong impression. On the iconic Hockenheim circuit, he claimed pole position with an outstanding lap, clocking in nearly half a second faster than his competitors—a clear demonstration of his form.

However, the race didn’t go as planned. Despite a solid start, Seesing lost two positions in early battles. After a Safety Car phase, he expertly managed his fuel and tires, reclaiming the lead through a strategic undercut. But a pit stop timing error led to a costly penalty, dropping him back to 11th place. Felix ended the championship ranked as the 7th best driver overall—an impressive result given the fierce competition.

Intense Battles in the Renault Clio Cup

The Renault Clio Cup by Carlar eSports also saw high-stakes racing for the smilla eSports drivers. Leon Harhoff, leading the Pro/Am standings, entered the final event alongside Tommie Lycklama. Both put in strong qualifying performances, with Harhoff moving up to 3rd place and Lycklama in 5th after an intense battle.

But then there was an unfortunate incident: a small contact cost Harhoff two places, whereupon the person who caused the accident and his direct competitor surprisingly got away without a penalty. However, this was followed shortly afterwards by a 10-second penalty for a similar situation, which cost him the championship. This decision had serious consequences, as the other car involved was his direct competitor. In order to start the next season unencumbered, the team decided not to start the second race.

Triple Race Action This Week

This week is packed with three major events. On the Nürburgring, smilla eSports will compete in the SRC NOS. Leon Harhoff will drive the Renault Clio, while Ansgar Altrichter takes on the Porsche Cayman GT4. With a highly competitive field, hopes are high for a podium finish.

At the same time, the drivers will take part in the Digital TCR Cup by Carlar eSports. Jerry, Taron, and Ben are still in contention for a third-place finish in the AM class, which will make for an exciting race.

Additionally, the team is gearing up for the ADAC Sportscup, a multi-class endurance format by ADAC. The team will compete across multiple categories, including Cup Porsche, GT4, and TCR. In the GT4 class, a mix of experienced drivers and young talent will form the foundation for a strong season.

New Design and In-House Series

Exciting things are happening off the track as well. All team vehicles have been updated to Fosser Design Version 1, with Version 2 coming in October, promising a fresh and attention-grabbing look.

smilla eSports also launched their very own series: Beat The Pro, powered by Fosser Oil. In collaboration with Rennwelten, this event is live-streamed. The format pits digital racers against a real-world pro, competing on the pro’s track and car in the iRacing simulation. The series has already garnered significant attention, and the next round is scheduled for October 4th — a great opportunity to showcase your skills.
